SMM, March 25: In the Ningbo market, the transaction price of mainstream brand 0# zinc was around 24,100 to 24,220 yuan/mt. The Ningbo regular brands quoted a premium of 30 yuan/mt against the 2504 contract and a premium of 40 yuan/mt against the Shanghai spot. In the Ningbo area, the main quotations were made against the 2504 contract. During the first period, Qilin quoted a delivery of 90 yuan/mt against the 2504 contract, Honglu-v quoted a premium of 20 yuan/mt against the 2504 contract, Haxin quoted a discount of 40 yuan/mt against the 2504 contract, and Huize quoted a premium of 80 yuan/mt against the 2504 contract. During the second period, traders' quotes remained flat compared to the previous period. Qilin zinc ingot arrived at the Ningbo port, supplementing the market's spot volume. With the futures market remaining at a high level, downstream buyers purchased as needed. Today, the spot transactions were average, and the overall premium declined slightly MoM.

China's total monthly sulphuric acid exports were 2,474.46 mt in physical content, up 153.47% MoM and down 99.43% YoY, with the main export destinations being Angola, Ghana, Cambodia, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Tanzania.

According to the latest customs data, China's refined zinc exports in August 2026 were 40,600 mt, up 31,400 mt MoM. Cumulative refined zinc exports from January to August totaled 70,700 mt. The sharp increase in refined zinc exports was mainly due to the low SHFE/LME zinc price ratio, which opened the export window. By destination, China's zinc ingot exports mainly went to Singapore at 15,500 mt (38.08%), Hong Kong, China at 14,700 mt (36.18%), and Taiwan, China at 2,400 mt (5.82%).
